Special Adviser Khan Meets with KRG President Nechirvan Barzani

19 April 2021, Erbil - Special Adviser Karim A. A. Khan QC met today with H.E. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani to reflect on ongoing collaboration between UNITAD and the Kurdistan Regional Government in their common endeavor to hold ISIL accountable for international crimes in Iraq.

Special Adviser Khan updated H.E. President Barzani on specific UNITAD projects, including digitization of ISIL related documents funded by the European Union.

The Special Adviser also underlined the project's importance in support of the establishment of the full scale and nature of ISIL’s crimes.
