Special Adviser leads UNITAD Visit to Diyala

Baghdad, Iraq  - The United Nations Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da’esh/ISIL, visited Diyala on Sunday 28 July . The delegation headed by the Special Adviser and Head of UNITAD; Karim A.A. Khan, met with the Deputy Governor and other key officials as well as Tribal Sheiks in the province. The team also visited Tawakul Village, one of the affected areas by Daesh attacks. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the importance of accountability for Daesh crimes.
